Who operates TajweedLens

TajweedLens is an independent app operated by MOHAMED BIN MD SAID. It is not an official Quran Foundation app.

Camera and on-device processing

The camera is used only to place Quran text inside the scanning guide. Optical character recognition and ayah matching run on the device. TajweedLens does not upload, store, or share camera frames, photographs, or the recognized text.

Online Quran content

When you open Ayah Info, TajweedLens sends only the recognized surah and ayah numbers and your selected translation, tafsir, and reciter identifiers to the TajweedLens content service. These values are used in real time to request public Quran content from the Quran Foundation Content API and are not associated with an account or retained by TajweedLens. The content service does not forward an end-user IP address, device identifier, or other app request header to Quran Foundation.

Quran Foundation operates Quran.com and QuranReflect. TajweedLens uses content-only APIs and does not connect to a Quran.com account, access Quran Foundation user data, or integrate QuranReflect user features.

Information stored on your device

Your Tajweed rule filters, haptic preference, and selected content sources are stored only in the app’s private settings on your device. You can change them in Settings. Removing the app removes these local preferences.

Sensitive information

Religious interests can be sensitive information. TajweedLens does not create a religious profile, retain a reading history, associate ayah requests with an identity, or use this activity for advertising, analytics, or artificial-intelligence training.

Service providers

• Cloudflare provides the secure Worker that relays content requests.
• Quran Foundation supplies public Quran translations, tafsir, and recitation metadata and audio through its Content API.

These providers process limited network information needed to deliver a request under their published terms and privacy policies. TajweedLens does not sell personal information or permit these services to use Quranic activity for advertising profiles.

Retention and security

TajweedLens does not retain personal data on its servers. Production request logging is disabled. Content requests are protected in transit with HTTPS, API credentials stay on the server, access is restricted, and credentials are rotated when required. We follow the Quran Foundation Developer Privacy Requirements, including Security Rule 6.9, and will report a suspected API-related data incident to Quran Foundation within 24 hours.

Your choices

You can deny or revoke camera access in iOS Settings. The app will explain that scanning requires camera access. Because TajweedLens has no user account and retains no personal server-side data, there is no account record to access, correct, or delete. You may contact us with any privacy question or request.

Children

TajweedLens is a general-audience educational utility. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not offer account registration.

International processing

Transient network requests may be processed in countries outside your own by Cloudflare and Quran Foundation. Their safeguards and international-transfer practices are described in the policies linked above.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date will be updated and notice will be provided in the app or release notes as appropriate.
